Nazeing History Workshop was founded in 1993 to discover, record and share the long and rich history of this west Essex village.

Our volunteers aim to seek out written and oral information, to record the information, mainly on computer databases, to share the information online and by publishing books and articles, giving talks, and participating in displays and exhibitions. Why not join us ?

In 2000 and 2002 we published The Story of Nazeing Parts 1 and 2, which were joint runner-up in the 2003 Essex History Book Awards. In the next ten years many sources were released for the first time or became much more easily accessible, so we realised that there was enough new material for a third book, which would complement rather than duplicate the first two.
